More Pics! Thanks Mom!!

How the heck did I let them talk me into saving this floor?!?

The one thing that surprises everyone is that there is no "grand" staircase, its wider than usual but not fancy as one would expect from a house like this.

Takin a break!

New Neighbors!
Suuuuzzzz  its raining inside again!!
Molds for the concrete ballisters from the railings on the terrace, porch and stairs to park. Behind these is the famous "tunnel" thats been bricked up and closed in.  Sorry folks!
Pipe Dreams...not sure WHY the plumbers are not excited to work for us!  Our pipes aren't THAT complicated...OK well maybe a little :)
Note the alarm system wiring mounted on the wall.  WOW.
CREEPY!!!
Hopefully we can open this back up to be doors out to the side yard.
This is the LAST time I'm redoing a house...no really, it is!!

  2. Hey David! We don't know alot about the tunnel except that it is located in the basement and goes out to the side yard a few hundred feet down. Its been bricked over in the house and closed off at the other end. No clue if it was completely filled in, or just the ends but I have no need to open that back up. Story has it that it was used during prohibition days. No one knows for sure, but the other old mansions in the area also have these tunnels on the property. Neat conversation item if nothing else!
